I'm sure you will remember Wil Wheaton, a young actor whose most well-known role was that of Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation. What you might not know is that Wil has moved from acting into writing, and is quickly becoming an accomplished book and weblog author.
But, this article is not about Wil. Over the past few months, Wil's wife, Anne, has written a series of guest entries in Wil's weblog, detailing her friend Kris' progress as she undergoes treatment for leukemia. Although I don't know Kris personally, I'm sure I speak for all of Wil's/Anne's readers in saying we have come to care for her, cry for her, cheer for her, and pray for her. I look forward to every update, and this latest is no exception.
Anne's entries have also described her and Wil's efforts to raise donations for their participation in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program. Their goal is to raise $25,000 in time for the program's San Diego marathon in June. They have done very well but still need a bit more help to reach their goal. I will be making my donation today through PayPal, and I hope anyone else reading this will send a little help their way as well.
