The new smiley capability here on confoozion is powered by Dan Wolfgang's Icon-o-matic plugin for Movable Type.
After I had installed the plugin, I noticed that the smilies weren't displaying in the order I wanted them to, so I submitted a support ticket to find out if I was doing something wrong, or if there was a simple fix to get them to display in order. Dan not only updated the plugin to sort the icons alphabetically just for me, he also helped me troubleshoot a separate problem where the plugin stopped working altogether after a Movable Type upgrade yesterday.
Now that's the kind of support that makes me happy to have shelled out a few bucks for the software. And to think Icon-o-matic is only $10 - that's better support than I would get from a company for whose software I paid ten times that amount.
