I love hearing stories of kids doing things far more mature and selfless than many adults would ever do.
Brittni Leanne Reynolds is a ten-year-old who, after visiting an animal shelter, decided she didn't want gifts for her upcoming birthday. Instead, she asked those invited to her party to donate cash, pet toys and supplies to the shelter. She collected $160 in checks, and a pickup truck full of toys, food, treats, and wood shavings for the small animals' cages.
I can only hope that if I have kids one day, they will be as generous and kind-hearted as you, Brittni. It would make me the proudest parent in the world.
