Last Wednesday, September 1, at 4:20 PM, my Grandma Cheryl passed away.
My only excuse for the delay of this posting is that I just needed some time for my head to clear enough to know what to write. Unfortunately I still don't.
I am just so thankful that I was able to go see her before she passed. It helped so much in terms of being able to prepare myself for that inevitable day. It's still hard to know what to say to Grandpa, and the other members of our extended family. Is there really anything that's going to make them feel better?
Anyway, while on the subject of the trip to Las Vegas, I know I've been promising a write-up about the trip for a couple weeks now. The photo gallery is ready, and I've decided I'll let it do most of the talking. I'll just say it was the perfect relaxing vacation (even driving in Vegas was relaxing compared to driving here in Rhode Island), and it was great to spend some time reconnecting with the slightly more sane side of my family. And despite how far into debt it put us, I'm glad we went and will definitely go again.
