Despite the Americans with Disabilities Act requiring businesses to admit service animals even when pets are otherwise banned, many people with these animals still encounter resistance on a daily basis. The city of Evanston, Illinois is attempting to improve the situation with new service animal identification tags. Businesses must admit animals wearing these tags, no questions asked.
