More like rolled my eyes. Yet another gadget that Chris will insist he must have, but will never use (like his iPod).

Like Neil, I don't read Digg.

Like, duh.

Yes, this is where my geekdom really shines through. confoozled.com is entirely hand-coded, no WYWIWYG editors involved.
- Have you ever installed a different OS on a portable/gaming device that it was not meant for?
Nope.
- Do You have more than 1 monitor hooked up to your main computer?
No, I never saw the need, especially now that I have this monstrosity (thanks, Mom!). I can fit as many windows as I would ever need to see at one time on this baby.
- Is the only time you use your printer to print out Google Maps?
Hell, no. Photos, greeting cards, online order confirmations, restaurant coupons, artwork, etc.
- If you dont already have a water cooled CPU, do you leave the side cover off to help keep the temps down?
Absolutely not. The ventilation/fan system in a PC case cannot function efficiently without the side cover.
- Do you somewhat wish you were living in Taiwan just for the Technology (e.g. free wifi everywhere)?
No, I just wish the technology was available here.
- If you cant get rid of a virus or fix a serious problem after a few hours, do you just say f#@% it and format the HD?
That's Chris' response. I, on the other hand, have panic attacks when I think about how much of my life is stored on my hard drives and the prospect of losing it all, plus the work involved in tweaking everything just the way I like it again, so reformats are an absolute last resort for me.
- Do you totally wish you could afford a really nice Mac?
If I had the disposable income, I would love to have a Mac as an extra machine to play around with. It would never replace my PC as my main system, though.
- Did you tell your Broadband ISP to take their Cable Modem and shove it and go buy your own (a real one!)?
Yup, and eventually we'll be telling them to take their whole service and shove it when Verizon's FiOS becomes available in our neighborhood.
- Every now and then, do you attempt to hack your neighbours' wifi connection just for fun?
No, but for a while our backup TiVo in the bedroom was using our upstairs' neighbor's connection, unbeknownst to us.
- Do you keep spare hard drives around for testing out other OS' or just for whatever?
No. Sometimes I think a spare drive or two might come in handy, though.
- Can you install ATI Drivers into linux?
I can't install shit into linux. I can barely install linux itself.
- Do you sometimes wish you could just change the channel and start browsing the web on your TV, being able to view it at a decent resolution with good picture quality? (I ask this assuming some of you with laptops have hooked it to the TV and gawked at the horrible image).
Yes! We have an HDTV, so the resolution wouldn't be a problem at all. It's rather frustrating that we have two networked devices, our Series 3 TiVo and the Xbox 360, connected to the TV, and neither one offers a web browser.
