My Friday the 13th hit a day early... I went online to Travelocity last night to purchase my airline ticket. After much finagling with dates and flight selections in order to get the best fare possible with the airline I wanted, I finally completed the purchase. Got on the phone with Mom to give her the info, only to discover that, at some point, when I was messing with the departure date, Travelocity's *stupid* javascript had reset the return date to the day after. I had bought an overnight trip! Fortunately, even though it was a non-refundable fare with a $100 change fee (plus fare difference), Travelocity recognized that it was their malfunction, and cancelled the reservation, charging me only a $5 service fee. I re-booked the trip today, with the correct dates - but the fare went up by $60. And as if that wasn't enough bad luck for one day, at dinner I discovered moldy cheese on my chicken parmesan. << prev • home • next >>
