Well, I have a new bathroom. The cheesy dolphin shower curtain has been replaced with a much tamer solid hunter green one. There is still a small bit of dolphin flavor... I kept the curtain hooks, and the oval mirror with dolphins on the frame (which, incidentally, is what I bought the hunter green set to match with). Some fluffy green towels, a nice soft rug, a green soap dispenser, trash can, and even a toilet brush complete the new look. Now if only the lighting in the room wasn't so crappy that it all looks black...
I'm not sure you even want to know what prompted the change, but oh well, I'm gonna tell you anyway. Seems Friday morning some "genius" in our building decided it was a good idea to flush a shirt down their toilet. Miraculously the shirt made it all the way to the end of the pipeline but stopped short of making it into the septic tank. The four-inch depth of unpleasantries that came up from our bathtub drain took the life of three towels that were hanging over the side of the tub (there was no way I was even going to try to wash them). This left us with a desperate shortage of handtowels. So since we had to go out and get some new towels, and we'd been wanting to change the bathroom for a while, we decided we might as well do it now.
On that note, I had to settle for a vinyl shower curtain since I couldn't find a cloth one in the color I wanted. So if anyone happens to see a good cloth shower curtain in hunter green, could you let me know?
