win a $50 petco gift card

Being a mommy to two dogs gets expensive, which is why I'm entering on ConsumerQueen.com to win a $50 PETCO gift card, and doing everything possible to earn extra entries! One idea I have for what to spend the card on is a gate big enough to close off the front deck, so that Brooskey can go out with Dad when he grills in the summer... but there are so many other things it would be useful for. It's a rare day when we go out shopping and don't come back with something for the dogs.

You can, of course, enter yourself by subscribing to ConsumerQueen.com and leaving a comment on the contest post with what you'd spend the gift card on, but wouldn't you much rather leave the prize for me???!

Try 16....you have no idea!! Purchases/Expenses in the past month: 5 bags of 40# Eukanuba dog food, 2 bags of greenies, 2 bags of dingo bones, 2 large bags of plain rawhide retreiver sticks, tooth gel, vitamins, 4 teeth cleanings, 1 neuter, 5 anal gland squeezes, antibiotics for 1, 3 rabies shots, 4 5-way shots, and 3 adorable little jackets with reflective strips, oh...and 1 $30 dog bed for the corgis that Gunner chewed up the first night.

Here's my secret to saving money on the dog food: I submit my Eukanuba UPC's to Eukanuba....every 240# I turn in, I get a coupon for 1 free 40# bag. Every 10 bags of dog food I buy at Petco, I get 1 free. (the 2 free 40# bags I have now earned can be turned in to Eukanuba to count towards more free bags) If I buy 5 bags (200#) of food in 1 visit, Petco gives an automatic 10% off my purchase. Petco has a quarterly reward period based off the prior quarter's purchases...I always reach the maximum reward of 15% of a single visit....this is the visit I will purchase in bulk! That last visit of 5 bags of dog food ($43/each), I also got a 6# bag of puppy food, & 3 cans of wet food (free from coupons that were in the dry dog food bags)....and I spent a total of $160 after my 10% and 15% discounts....WOO HOO (averages out to $32/bag)!!! And I hit both of my free bag threshholds so my next 2 bags will be free...another $86 saved. That brings the average amount spend on each bag in a 2 month period to $22.86/bag. NOT BAD!!

Right now we need a $48 bark collar for Gunner so I will go over & sign up for this drawing!!(do they make a chew collar too??? Caboose misses having a bed since Gunner keeps shredding them).
