to color or not to color?

Chris and I have come up with a great costume idea for a Halloween party we're attending next weekend. And no, I'm not revealing what it is - you'll have to wait for the photos! The only question remaining, is do I get some temporary washable hair dye and color my hair to fit the part? I have never ever colored my hair, not even highlights, so even using a washable color would be brave on my part. But you only live once, right? What do you think?

My experience is that it doesn't wash right back out....expect it to take a few washings before your hair is back to normal (color & texture).

Yeah, I'm leaning toward the spray-in stuff, which from what I'm reading is more temporary than the "temporary" dye.

I say: Color it! Have fun with it! After all, it's just hair. I've always had a non-traditional view towards hair anyway; my current hair style is a beyond shoulder length long braided ponytail. (Sometimes, I cornrow my hair with beads, ala Bo Derek circa 1979) Ultimately, I'm going to completely let it all go and grow dreads. That all being said, I reiterate and say color it. Express yourself, Carly!

P.S. Vegas oddsmakers give even odds you're going to color it purple.
