There were no news postings this week, since I am sick yet again. My tonsils are dark red and so swollen that if I sleep on my back I snore and wake myself up. Cough drops, lozenges, and oral anesthetics don't even touch the pain. A combination of aspirin and acetaminophen takes the edge off (a full dose of acetaminophen alone does nothing; I tried), but my nose is already starting to bleed a bit, so I know if I keep taking it I'm headed for a gusher. My throat is dry and tickly, causing me to cough violently and unexpectedly, sometimes so hard that I'm sure I'm going to throw up all over myself. Ice cream helps calm things down for a while, but it sure isn't helping my waistline. $:o\$ And did I mention that this is the fifth day of this? << prev • home • next >>
