I hate listening to people arguing and screaming at each other. I hated hearing my parents do it when I was younger, and now I have to listen to it at work. Even when it has nothing to do with me, it still leaves me upset and stressed out for the rest of the day. I don't know, I just think it's highly childish, and unprofessional, in the case of a work environment, to do that in front of other people who aren't involved. If you really must have it out with someone (and I understand we all do sometimes), you should do it in private so as not to embarrass yourself or the person you're arguing with, or make anyone else uncomfortable.
Am I wrong? Is it ever appropriate to have a screaming match with an employee in front of the entire office?
If you have a story about being an unwilling witness to an argument, I'd love to hear it in the comments.
