If you are subscribed to e-mail notifications for confoozled.com, you probably just received an e-mail for a 45-day-old entry. It confused me just as much as I'm sure it confused you. Here's what happened.
When I upgraded my publishing system a few weeks ago, I installed a plugin called Blog Janitor which automatically closes comments on entries when they reach forty-five days in age, to help reduce spam. It appears there is a bug when this plugin is used in conjunction with MT-Notifier, the plugin that handles the e-mail subscriptions. Basically, when Blog Janitor closes comments on an entry, MT-Notifier thinks the entry is new and sends out a new notification.
I have reported the problem to the authors of both plugins, and have disabled Blog Janitor's comment-closing capability until the bug is fixed.
