My prediction was right. At his second vet visit this past Friday, Brooskey weighed in at twelve pounds - twice what he weighed at his first visit a few days after we brought him home.
We started puppy school last weekend. So far he's learned to recognize the clicker as a mark for correct behavior, to focus his attention when told to "watch me", and to sit. He's also starting to go to the door when he needs to go potty, and to stop a bad behavior when chastised. I'm amazed at how fast he's learning. He figured out "sit" in no more than twenty minutes in class on Saturday. He's unbelievably smart, which is great in terms of training, but also makes it really difficult to outsmart him! And he always figures out a way to get what he wants, even if we don't want him to have it.
We're trying to remember to take more pictures. When I look back at the ones we took the day he came home, I can hardly believe he was ever that small. We didn't get any photos of him between eight and twelve weeks, and he's done way too much growing in that time!
