A few days ago I signed up for a new ad network called Performancing Ads. See the "advertise here" spot over there in the sidebar? (In case I've sold an ad by the time you read this, it's the square ad just below the search box, on the left.) If you're using Wordpress, Drupal or Joomla, or if your site is PHP, it's super easy to install. There's also a JavaScript option for sites running on other platforms. Ads are sold on a weekly basis, so it's easier to get advertisers to try you out without committing to a longer ad run.
With Performancing Ads you set your own ad price (per week) and you earn 60% of the revenue for each ad sold. Your site will be automatically listed in the marketplace for advertisers looking for sites to buy ads from. You also earn credits each time you sell an ad, for free advertising on other Performancing Ads publisher sites. Plus, with the affiliate program, you earn cash for every advertiser or publisher you refer, plus 5% of the publishers' future sales.
And here's another reason for you bloggers and web site owners to sign up and install an ad region... If you are one of the first ten people to sign up through my affiliate link and keep your ad region up for thirty days, I will buy an ad on your site after the thirty days is up. That means you're guaranteed to sell at least one ad, and that first sale is often the hardest one to get!
The rules for this are as follows:
- You must sign up using my affiliate link.
- You must install an ad region on your site and keep it there for thirty days plus the seven days that my ad will run for - a total of thirty-seven days.
- Since Performancing only tells me how many referrals I have and not who they are, you must forward your signup confirmation e-mail along with your web site URL to performancing (at) confoozled.com and I must see the referral counter increment that day. Please note that while I believe all of my readers are trustworthy and I don't expect any funny business, it is at my sole discretion to determine whether your referral is valid, and if I suspect fraud I reserve the right to reject you for the offer.
- Your ad price must be set to $10 or less. You may increase it to whatever you like after my ad runs.
