I used to get these really cool, gimp-friendly pill bottles at a dollar store here. You push down on the top, and it pops up offering a spout to pour the pills out of. Push it down again and it locks back down. The other day I needed to get a few more of the bottles, so I went to that dollar store, the only place I've ever seen them, only to find that the store itself was gone. Grr. I've searched and searched online and I can't find anything similar to them. In fact, I'm not finding much at all in the way of easy to open, non-childproof pill bottles. Yes, I could just always make sure to buy my pills in non-childproof bottles, but that presents a few problems: 1) sometimes there just aren't any on the shelf; 2) sometimes I just plain forget to check, or the person I've sent to the store for me forgets; 3) I divide up my daily meds and keep some at work for the weekdays, and some at home for the weekends... in which case I need an extra bottle anyway. I don't want those daily pill organizers with the little compartments that you have to break a nail to open. I just want a plain bottle... popup would be great, but I'll even settle for a screw cap that I don't have to push down, line up, do yoga or offer up my firstborn to open.
