Taking a quick break from babbling about Florida... If you visited over the weekend you may have noticed a few glitches, and some changes going on. And if you're here now, you're definitely seeing some changes.
The first and most important change is that confoozion is now known as simply confoozled.com. Instead of the blog being just a section of a larger web site, the rest of which goes horribly neglected and stale, now the blog is the site. If you have links and bookmarks to the confoozion subdirectory, those will now be redirected to the root directory. There's no requirement to update these, but doing so will help to reduce the load on the server.
The second and more obvious change is the update to the layout. The navigation to the other sections of the site, which have now been integrated into the blog, has been moved from the bottom of the page up into a second sidebar. The page now fills the whole width of the browser window (unless it is wider than 1280 pixels), and thanks to JavaScript, you should get the header image which most closely matches the size of your browser or screen, so that it isn't too horribly stretched or shrunken.
I'm still working on cleaning up the code, so if you run into any issues please let me know. (It should be pretty easy to find how to e-mail me now, but you can also just leave a comment if you prefer.)
Bonus points to anyone who can figure out the significance of this month's masthead (for those who can't see it, the background photo is of a pirate's flag).
