I was going to write about the trip to Las Vegas today, but something has come up which I think is a bit more important.
If you live in the US, you know that Labor Day weekend is coming, and you probably also know that this is the weekend the Muscular Dystrophy Association holds their annual telethon. I know some people take issue with some of the organization's fund-raising methods and policies. Last year I addressed this and explained why I donate and will continue to do so.
Last weekend, a long-time MDA client and camper, and friend to many including me, passed away. Mike was one of those rare souls, always positive yet real, with an incredible sense of humor. His death has left a deep hole in the camp community that can never be filled.
This telethon, in addition to my own personal donation, I will match dollar for dollar any donations made by confoozled.com visitors. Just use the usual confoozled.com donation page - all donations received this week will automatically be included in the MDA contribution. You will also receive the same priveleges as those who have donated to the site itself, which currently include access to the rare live webcam feed, use of free long distance minutes through OneSuite, and access to a special donors-only forum.
The total donation will be made near the end of the telethon, in the name of confoozled.com members and guests, and in memory of Mike Keoprasith.
