As you may know, I'm trying to save up money for an iPhone. My sign-up bonus and any referrals I get on Revolution MoneyExchange, as well as all payments for sponsored posts, are all being designated as iPhone money. The other way I plan to raise money is by doing computer repairs for my neighbors and coworkers.
For those who don't have a friendly neighborhood gimpy geek girl to zap your spyware and wrangle your WiFi, I found a computer repair service called Fast-teks. They have a national toll-free number, and they offer a range of business and residential services. They are a registered partner with Dell, among other reputable vendors, so one would hope that means they know what they're doing.
However, I do have a few issues with their web site. First of all, while they claim to be affordable, they don't list their rates. I really hate it when a business can't just be straightforward about what they charge, instead forcing you to waste your time calling them only to possibly find out that it's more than you're willing to pay. If they really think their rates are reasonable and competitive, why can't they just give them to you upfront? Second, when I entered my zip code to find a nearby location, I was only taken to a contact form with way too many required fields. Is this a bug? Or is it just what happens when there is no Fast-teks location in your area? If the latter, it should be more clear.
I'm curious about others' experiences. Does anyone actually get a list of locations upon entering your zip code? Or does everyone just get sent to the contact form? And if anyone has occasion to actually use their services, I'd love to hear about your experience.
