I went to see my doctor the other day, and he put me on antibiotics for this sinus thing I've been battling for far too long. I'm always loathe to take antibiotics because of all the side effects they cause, but I am grateful that I made it this far into the winter before needing them, since I'm usually on my first round by Thanksgiving. My nose looked angry and my throat looked busy, he said, and it's even in my ears - my left ear bled all over my pillow last Saturday night. I think I'm feeling the antibiotics starting to work. No sinus pain for the past two days, and the swollen, tender feeling in my throat and neck is finally gone after two and a half weeks.
My surprise Valentine's Day gift from Chris was Wii Fit,
the fitness training program for the Nintendo Wii. I've wanted this for a long time, so that I would have a way to get exercise even when I can't leave the house and go walking. I haven't spent a lot of time with it since I'm still on the sick side, but I did use it for a few minutes on Tuesday night and again last night. There are yoga, strength training, aerobic and balance activities, and I can really only do the latter two. Not well, mind you, but I can do them, and it is a lot of fun! I'll have to ease into it as my knees continue to recover from their arthritis flare-up, but amazingly I can already feel them getting stronger. I even think the light amount of exercise I've gotten may be contributing to my feeling better from this infection.
Now that I am on the mend, I really need to put in some serious web design time this weekend. I'm still determined to finish my current project by the end of the month... and I know my client is reading this, so I'd better get busy!
