Okay, it's about time I worked on getting back to my one post per weekday blogging schedule. My computer is finally all back to normal, with the exception of one little unknown device in my Windows device manager which it can't find a driver for. Nothing is missing so I'm not going to worry about it.
I took a couple of vacation days and turned this past weekend into a four-day one. It was great to have a couple of much needed extra days off, but I still did not want to go to work this morning. I'm just in so much need of a change, but feeling pretty much stuck where I am. Maybe now that I have my computer back and can start working on building alternate sources of income again, I'll start to feel less trapped.
We didn't do a lot during our break (Chris took the same days off, too), but we did get caught up on some of our movie and TV watching. We watched two movies we've had out from Netflix
for over two months: The Spiderwick Chronicles and What Happens in Vegas. Both very good, in my opinion. Chris also got a bunch of laundry done after retrieving our box of winter clothes from his parents' house, and started packing the summer stuff to go back.
Oh, I think we had a record number of trick-or-treaters Halloween night... which translates to four or five groups of kids instead of the two or three we usually get. Last year we bought four bags of candy and had three left over. This year we bought two bags, and ran out. It's a good thing we didn't run out in the middle of the last group, which was a large group of older kids... we probably would have gotten egged. We had two pieces of candy left after them, so that's when we shut off the porch light and settled in to watch the rest of Ghost Hunters Live uninterrupted. We stayed up, but not awake, until the end at 2am.
