This past Monday I became an aunt for the second time. Breana Leigh-Ann was born April 12 at approximately 5:30 PM PST (8:30 EST).
I had received a call from Dad earlier in the day, to let me know my sister was at the hospital. Now, the whole family had been on edge for three weeks, thinking this baby would be born any second. So when I saw Dad's number on my caller ID, I actually dropped my computer keyboard on the floor.
The rest of the afternoon and evening were spent fidgeting nervously and pacing all over my apartment, waiting for another call. It finally came while I was in the middle of my show. This time I didn't have the handset in front of me with the caller ID, but I knew as soon as the phone rang exactly what it meant. After a brief moment of hysterical screaming, I calmly made sure I had enough songs in the queue, and took the call.
I had to wait until the next morning for pictures to post on Breana's and her brother's web sites, and the last few days have been spent spreading the news to my closest friends. But now it's time... To introduce Breana to the world.
