I have a cold. I feel yucky. I'm in a bad mood. So in an attempt to make myself feel better, here are some random things that have been annoying me lately.
- Cold/sinus medication in blister packs. Drug companies, if you really must use the blister packs, can we set some ground rules? Perforations should actually perforate. The peel-off paper backing should actually peel off. And the push-through foil? It should actually give way to the pills being pushed through it. Liquid gels should not pop in the process of trying to get them out of the package.
- Someone (who shall remain nameless) cleaned my glasses with Windex. Now they are all streaky and I can't get rid of the streaks.
- People who confirm friendship on Facebook, but then don't respond to messages, wall posts, etc. when you know they've been online. If you didn't want to actually communicate with me, why did you accept the friend request?
- Direct Buy Providence is actually in Warwick. So is the Providence airport. The two cities are not even in the same county.
- My computer at work. I have it scheduled to reboot every morning at 5am, and most of the time for reasons I can't figure out, it fails to do so. When it does, it often comes back up with that God-awful Windows XP "Fisher Price" theme I can't stand and have had disabled since day one. Today I had to reboot it myself three times to get it running right.
- When you're filling out a social networking profile, don't put the URL to that same profile as your web site link. If you don't have your own web site, leave it blank. Or put your MySpace URL on Twitter and vice versa. But nothing is more annoying than clicking a link that takes you to the same page you're already on.
Aww, you know what? Now I'm feeling the need to balance out that bit of negativity with some things that have made me smile in spite of how crappy I feel.
- Brooskey and Vixen. They are a handful, but they are so entertaining and love their Mommy and Daddy so much.
- Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate. I can have a small with my fiber bar in the morning, and it fits well into my diet. Makes my throat feel much better, too.
- Huge 99-cent bowls of soup at All Stars, which also make my throat feel better.
- Getting a reply back to an e-mail I sent my favorite teacher from high school.
