Last night while we were hanging out with the pups I picked up my camera and shot some video to show you what our typical evenings after work consist of. I used my crappy point & shoot camera, so the video quality is a little bit lacking, but it's the best I could do since the good camera is too heavy for me. You'll also have to excuse the shaky off-centeredness (thank you, spell check, but it's a word if I say it is) of the whole thing. People with gimpy arms probably shouldn't be videographers.
As you can see, it's hard to catch Vixen in any one place for too long. In the last scene, it's hard to see, but that's a laser pointer Brooskey is chasing up and down the hallway - otherwise known as the "red bug". This is how we wear him out after a long day of being confined to his crate building up enough energy to power a small factory. You also get to see him in one of his knucklehead moments, where you tell him to do a trick he's done a thousand times, one that used to be his favorite trick which he just so happens to have come up with himself, and he acts like he's never heard that word before in his life.
By the way, Brooskey's first birthday is this month (the 12th), which is the theme for the August masthead. These are some of the best photos we've taken of him in the ten months we've had him. The first picture on the left is from the night we brought him home, and the one on the far right was taken earlier this summer after his first full grooming. This is by far the most work I've put into a masthead since I started doing them about a year ago. I even had to figure out how to make the logo transparent so it wouldn't cover up the photo behind it!
